Evolution of the Immediate Problem

It is important for Alliances to explore the beginning incidents that may have indicated a future problem that we are addressing right now. The evolution is important because we will be able to determine at what point a decision was made to seek needed external assistance, guidance and a plan for resolution of the problem. One of the founding hallmarks of Alliances is Strengths Perspective, whether we are dealing with individuals, groups or organizations. Therefore, we will build on the actions taken by the individuals, groups or organization to attempt to address the problem at hand. Our assessment process has always proven to be the beginning steps toward an acceptable outcome. Many organizations believe that once the immediate crisis is dealt with, the problem is resolved. For Alliances, this is just the important beginning step in a comprehensive evaluation process that identifies root causes and precipitating events that triggered the attempt to resolve the crisis but not giving sufficient attention to why the immediate problem (crisis) occurred unabated.

It is here that the beginning cooperative relationship is created. We work together with the organization as well as key internal entities who can be a part of the eventual desired measurable outcome, thereby garnering input and investment from all involved along with Alliances.
